Sexual harassment in the VC and tech startup ecosystem persists as a problem, and recent events at Uber and Binary Capital are regrettably only the latest high-profile examples.
Last week we adopted Foundry Group’s Zero Tolerance Policy on Sexual Harassment in its entirety. This applies both within Origin Ventures and its portfolio companies. That written policy accurately reflects an unwritten code that we’ve followed since the founders started our firm.
While this approach has been our norm and is obvious to us, we want to make it clear to entrepreneurs of all types that harassment, and cultures that permit harassment, are not tolerated in our portfolio or on our investment team.
